I’ve spent MANY summers in Modesto, California, just hours away from Yosemite National Park, and this summer was the first time I visited this BEAUTIFUL place! I spent a few days in Yosemite National Park, California, with my friends Elsa Eileen Photography, Amber Lynn Photography, Joanna Adams Photography, Dina Remi Studios, and A Rose Photography. If you have a moment, I encourage you to take a peek at these ladies and their incredible work! I still can’t believe I have such talented and incredible friends!
We were able to witness Glacier Point, Yosemite National Park, at sunrise, with Half Dome in the distance. I can tell you, there is little that compares to being out in nature at sunrise. Allie and Ryan were so gracious to model for us, and with six photographers giving them direction all at the same time, I am sure that was not an easy thing for them to do! So huge shoutout to them for being so amazing!
Here are a few shots from Glacier Point.
From there, we headed out to the famous Yosemite Valley. Yosemite Falls was not running, since we visited in the fall, but it sure didn’t take away from the beautiful views that Yosemite Valley offers. If you ever have an opportunity to travel to Yosemite National Park, make sure you give yourself more time than you think. You’ll want to slow down and take it all in! There is so much to see and explore!
With a quick visit to a local coffee shop, we were off to spend our last day just adventuring. Joanna, Amber and I climbed up an insane rock “wall” to the base of Bridal Veil Falls. I will say, it was a tough climb, but so worth it!
We arrived at Taft Point, Yosemite National Park, a little later than we expected. Our plan was to arrive at sunset, because if you go to Yosemite, and don’t see Taft Point at sunset, did you really even experience Yosemite? We arrived just as the sun was starting to go down and quickly did some headshots for each other. To this day, these are some of my favorite photos from the trip!
Between mice in our VRBO and losing the keys to our rental car in the dark at Taft Point (after we had hiked out), we had a fun and EVENTFUL trip!
I can tell you with certainty, that I am probably not the easiest person to travel with. I like a plan and to get in as much as I can, and I am super cheap! In 2020, my goal is to slow down, and really just take it all in. I don’t know when I will ever have the opportunity to visit Yosemite National Park, California again. But when I do, I hope it is with this incredible group of ladies by my side!
My advice to you, get a group of friends, and go adventure the world together!
Huge shoutout and thank you to the incredible vendors that loaned us their time, talent, and incredible products for our Yosemite National Park adventure!
